AMIC, Australian Meat Industry Council, conducts yearly Sausage King Awards, throughout regions of Australia which then go on to State Awards and finally National.
After winning two Gold Medals in the South East Region for our Hamburgers and Lamb, Mint & Rosemary Sausages earlier this year, our two winning products went off to the Melbourne Show in September for judging in the Victorian State Awards. We waited over a month to find out the results of the Judging, culminating in an Awards Dinner held at the Crown Palladium on the 29th October 2016.
Judging took place at the Royal Melbourne Show, the judges were Ash Pollard of My Kitchen Rules and Dancing with the Stars, Luke Dennehy and Sam Kekovich.

We were thrilled to take home the Gold for our Lamb, Mint & Rosemary Sausage then only minutes later the Silver for our Hamburgers.
To be among the best in our Industry was such an honour, it makes all of the hard work that Brad does at the shop for over 70 hours a week and the sound of the alarm at 5.15 every morning seem all the more worthwhile! The National Awards will be held in Tasmania in February 2017, watch this space!!!
