Where is the year going?? We are busy putting plans in place for Christmas orders as well as the busy Summer season at Inverloch plus our wonderful customers are keeping us busy every day by placing orders online and shopping in store. In no time the silly season will be here and as with meal planning, forward thinking and preparation goes a long way.
Usually on a Sunday night we go for something pretty simple but at the moment we are loving just popping a roast in the oven then heading back outside for a play with the kids, weather permitting, of course, when is Spring going to arrive?! The chicken shown in the picture has butter stuffed under the skin and is sprinkled with thyme, salt and pepper, roasted with some garlic and red onion for extra flavour. Bannockburn Free Range chickens are always very tender and juicy especially when cooked this way.
Lots of Love goes into our meals, just a quick oven baked rissoles and vegetables tonight after a busy day at work, kinder, day care.
Trying one of our new recipe bases from Lush Delights, be sure to read the instructions as they do require a couple of added ingredients, namely mango and coconut milk in this case. We're looking forward to trying the rest of their range.
At the moment we can't get enough of our (Award Winning) Hamburgers, tonight we will serve with Thermobexta's Curried Caulisotto, a sneaky way to get a large variety of vegetables into the kids. I will post the link on our Facebook page on Wednesday night.
Another feast of vegetables, so simple to chop up and pop in the oven for an hour or so, will probably pop a few lamb chops or beef schnitzel in the oven at the same time.
Home made pizza night, covered in our locally smoked sliced nugget ham, so tasty and a hit with the whole family.
Trying to think outside the square at the moment to freshen our meals up, this is some boiled new potatoes and corn off the cob with some bacon and asparagus cooked on the bbq with some mayonnaise stirred in. This is a meal in itself but knowing us, as carnivores, it will probably go on the side of something fresh off the BBQ.
If you've gotten this far in your reading, have a great week!
